Moving through Cashmere / 9/11 memorial

In the small town of Cashmere is a 9/11 memorial located behind the library and adjacent to a large public park. The memorial honors those who died on 9/11 and those who served and lost their lives in past wars.

Cashmere is located on the east side of the Cascade mountain range. Once over the mountain, you travel through Leavenworth (Bavarian town), Peshastin, Cashmere, and then Wenatchee, the apple capital. There is also East Wenatchee where I did an inspection on Thursday. With some extra time I stopped by the Cashmere memorial for the first time. Here are the pics.

I've been to Ground Zero but have never seen a piece of the tower. The memorial has a relatively small metal piece with large rivets. Most of the rivets are torn out. The metal piece itself looks like some tremendous force ripped it apart. Thought it worth sharing.
